Mountain Lakes Medical Center had much community support show out for its Back-To-School Health Fair event on Saturday, Aug. 3, at its facility on the beautiful mountain in Clayton. Kids got the opportunity to pick up school supplies as well as enjoy a free lunch and get free health checks.

Benefit event brings crowds for charity

The 27th Dillard Bluegrass Benefit Festival was the best yet as locals and visitors from all around enjoyed the sounds of bluegrass, mixed with good food and high-quality crafts, for great causes. The Dillard Bluegrass Benefit Festival is a nonprofit event and all proceeds benefit local charities.

Schools looking forward to students heading back

Students will soon be back in the bustle of books and hearing the sound of the bell for class changes as summer break officially comes to an end and children are back in the classrooms at Rabun County Schools next week.

It’s that time of year for the 27th Dillard Bluegrass Benefit Festival where locals and visitors alike can enjoy toe-tapping to Bluegrass music from area-bands, enjoy delicious food, and support local artists while also giving to good causes.
