It was a packed Community Room at the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia on Aug. 29 as the space was used for the Mountain Judicial Circuit Family Violence Task Force Stopping Violence Breakfast. Fight Abuse In The Home (F.A.I.T.H.) and Circle of Hope were also represented during the meeting.

Millage rate rollback for county, no tax increase

Those who live in county limits will not see a tax increase as the Rabun County Board of Commissioners voted at a special called meeting Aug. 27 to pass the rollback millage rate of 8.705. The vote was held prior to the regular scheduled work session of the monthly commission meeting.
