When leaders meet our local leaders

For three days, more than 100 with this year’s Leadership Georgia class had the opportunity to witness first-hand how much Rabun County and Clayton has to offer. Both the local residents and the visitors each came away with additional smiles on their faces.

Teen arrested for felony terroristic threats and acts against RCHS

A 15-year-old male juvenile was arrested on felony and misdemeanor charges related to a potential threat against Rabun County High School that was shared as a screenshot on social media last week. “On Sept. 6, 2024, investigators were able to identify and locate a person of interest.

Mountain Home Spa Company cuts ribbon

It was a fantastic Ribbon-Cutting event on Friday, Sept. 6, for Mountain Home Spa Company in Rabun Gap. The Ribbon-Cutting marked number 71 for Forward Rabun/Rabun County Chamber of Commerce since April 15, 2022! said Mickey Duvall, business and economic development strategist for Forward Rabun.

Safe Kids Rabun seat safety checks this weekend

Child Passenger Safety Week is coming up next week, Sept. 15-21, and Safe Kids Rabun along with the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office is kicking it off by hosting a seat safety check this weekend. On Saturday, Sept. 14, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Walgreens intersection named in honor of late police officer Zajdowicz

Motorists traveling through the intersection at Walgreens in Clayton city limits will now notice signage recognizing the area as the “Courtney Faith Zajdowicz Memorial Intersection.
