Hundreds of people came out to Main Street during a beautiful, sunny day for the Clayton Merchants and Business Association (CMBA) Downtown Clayton Block Party on Saturday, March 16.

Grist remembered for her service to others, friendship

Carron Benthall Grist is remembered for her service to the Rabun County community in many capacities and the friendships she developed along the way. Grist passed away on March 3 at the age of 83. She was born on Nov. 6, 1940, in Decatur, Ala., but lived in Dillard for 30 years.

Main Street in Clayton is the place to be this weekend as the Clayton Merchants and Business Association (CMBA) Downtown Clayton Block Party is around the corner on Saturday, March 16, from 4-8 p.m.

Community cuts ribbon on new Appalachian Trail community kiosk

The City of Clayton and Rabun County earned the designation as an Appalachian Trail (AT) Community in 2021 by the Appalachian Trail Conservancy. The county offers many attractions for adventure-seekers with various interests to enjoy, especially in the outdoors.
