A slate of candidates qualified during a five-day period for local, state and federal races in the May 21 General Primary/Nonpartisan Election. Qualifying ended at noon on Friday, March 8.

No disciplinary action was taken by City of Clayton Ethics Committee members following a Tuesday public hearing of the committee after a complaint was filed against “various members of the city council” who were serving on the council in the Fall of 2023.

Dr. Lent remembered for service to the Lord at veterinary practice

Dr. George Freeman Lent is remembered by loved ones as a servant of the Lord through his veterinary practice and whose passion was to tell everyone about Jesus. Lent, of Clayton, passed away at age 81 on Feb. 22, 2024, surrounded by family at his home.
