‘Cirque Synthetica’ wows audiences at Rabun Gap

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School premiered its one-of-a-kind Cirque performance, “Cirque Synthetica,” on the Rearden Stage on Oct. 26-28.

In any language, that’s a big cabbage

Rabun Countian Joey Davenport grew this 8-pound cabbage at his home. He said he watered it often to keep it from drying out and picked it in preparation for the freezing temperatures that are expected in the next few weeks.

Santa’s Toy Drive-Thru was held at the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia on Dec. 14 for three hours. The community was encouraged to bring the children to meet Santa and receive a special Christmas gift.

It’s not Christmas without gingerbread and children had the opportunity to decorate their very own gingerbread houses at the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia Teaching Kitchen Wednesday, Dec. 13.

Even the Grinch has a heart for children

Even the Grinch is in the Christmas spirit as he directs morning and afternoon school traffic dressed as Santa at the Boggs Mountain intersection Tuesday. Motorists during both traffic sessions honked and waved as the character led the way closer to Christmas day.

Urpschot sworn-in as new council member

Mike Urpschot is officially the newest Tallulah Falls council member as he takes the Oath of Office with Tallulah Falls City Clerk Linda Lapeyrouse at the Dec. 14 Tallulah Falls council meeting. Urpschot fills the unexpired council seat formerly held by Tommy Tilley, which expires in December 2025.
