Biden, Trump top Georgia’s Presidential Preference vote

Voters across the state headed to the polls on Tuesday, March 12, as former President Donald J. Trump and incumbent President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. claimed the most votes in the Presidential Preference Primary in Rabun County and Georgia as a whole.

Main Street in Clayton is the place to be this weekend as the Clayton Merchants and Business Association (CMBA) Downtown Clayton Block Party is around the corner on Saturday, March 16, from 4-8 p.m.

The City of Clayton and Rabun County earned the designation as an Appalachian Trail (AT) Community in 2021 by the Appalachian Trail Conservancy. The county offers many attractions for adventure-seekers with various interests to enjoy, especially in the outdoors.

A slate of candidates qualified during a five-day period for local, state and federal races in the May 21 General Primary/Nonpartisan Election. Qualifying ended at noon on Friday, March 8.
