3,000 seek out candy treats

Rabun County Fire Services Stations 1,4,6 and 12 along with other emergency personnel responded to Walmart in Clayton when the Vision Center began filling up with smoke and there was a smell of a possible electrical fire. The store and parking lot were evacuated as firefighters investigated.
Walmart evacuated due to smoke scare
Thomas Sherrill/The Franklin Press. Emergency personnel from North Carolina work the scene of a four-vehicle crash with one fatality and other injuries on Georgia Road in Otto, N.C., Friday, Oct. 20. The scene left extensive damage on the roadway. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash that caused traffic to back up as the road was closed for over four hours.
