Concerns pile up for Mountain City postal customers

MOUNTAIN CITY– Questions about the future of the Mountain City Post Office continue to pile up as residents are growing increasingly frustrated at the lack of information from the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) after the Dotson Street office was suspended suddenly in late February.

CLAYTON – The City of Clayton Planning and Zoning Board tabled its vote on a height variance request for a parcel of land located at 0 Ginger Creek in downtown Clayton.

TIGER– A structure fire in Tiger on March 2 was determined to be a complete loss after Rabun County Fire Services worked two hours and used approximately 8,000 gallons of water to extinguish the fire.

What a fun time everyone had on Saturday, March 4, at the Forward Rabun/Rabun County Chamber of Commerce “Ribbon-Cutting and Open House Event” for Blue Ridge Activity & Tumbling Center and the Mountain City Playhouse, located at 186 Playhouse Drive, Mountain City.

MOUNTAIN CITY– Appalachian history comes to life at the Foxfire Museum and Heritage Center, while the Children’s Village is a way for children to learn and experience that history in a way where they can play and interact.

GBI makes two arrests in drug investigation

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) recently made two arrests in a drug investigation after the bureau’s Cleveland Office was requested by the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) to investigate the circumstances surrounding an arrest made in December by their department.
