Rabun Gap students tackle global challenges

A team of students at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School are working with peers on the other side of the world to tackle some global challenges. With the encouragement and oversight of the U.S.

Hunter is 93-years-old and has owned Hunter Funeral Home since 1969. He is part of American Legion Post 220. He also worked in the Coroner’s Office for 52 years.

22nd annual Veterans Dinner 'huge success'

Those who have served in the military from Rabun County and all around the region were honored at the 22nd annual Veterans Appreciation Dinner presented by the Rabun County Chamber of Commerce and Forward Rabun. The event that had about 400 people on Veterans Day, Nov.

RCSO awarded $60,720 grant by Governor's Office of Highway Safety

CLAYTON-- The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) recently received a $60,720 High Visibility Enforcement (HVE) Grant from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS).

Lake Burton Civic Association provides $10,000 grant to Community Dental

Community Dental was recently awarded a $10,000 grant from the Lake Burton Civic Association Foundation (LBCAF) for supplies and equipment at the facility. Rotarian Tim Ranney said the donation allowed Community Dental to purchase new trays and new chairs and replace an older chair.
