Kickoff Rabun’s summer at Ramshackle Street Festival

Kickoff the summer season with the 2025 Ramshackle Street Festival in downtown Clayton this weekend. The second annual free event on Saturday, June 7, is produced by the City of Clayton and Clayton Merchants and Business Association (CMBA).

Support Foxfire at annual Heritage Days fundraiser on Friday and Saturday

Celebrate folklife traditions and support local nonprofit Foxfire during the 17th annual Heritage Days sponsored by the City of Mountain City on Friday, June 6, and Saturday, June 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Foxfire Village Museum, 98 Foxfire Lane, Mountain City.

City of Clayton purchases 3 AEDs, officials undergo Hands-Only CPR, AED training

The City of Clayton recently purchased three Automated External Defibrillator’s (AED) to ensure the community has more access to life-saving devices. An AED is a portable medical device used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.

Sky Valley Garden Club announces areas of study for its 2025 Scholars

The Sky Valley Garden Club awards scholarships each year to Rabun County students, working with the school guidance counselors. The scholarships are funded by our events, raffles held at monthly meetings, and sales of plants and other items made or provided by our members.
