The Gristmill water wheel is now moving as Foxfire recently refurbished the waterwheel and installed a circulating pump to get it working again in time for Heritage Days. Faircloth said the nonprofit wanted to get the water wheel up and running again because it was something visual and auditory that would appeal to the senses of visitors. He said it is historic because so many people had to use the Gristmill back in the day.

Ramshackle’s headliner Town Mountain was unable to play on the main stage because of the June 7 rainstorm that got the area wet, but that did not keep the band from playing. “We were very thankful they played acoustic in front of Reeves Outdoor Center,” said Sonya Shook of Reeves and the CMBA president. “It was a cool experience for the fans that came and listened to them play.”
