High blood pressure and stroke and mental illness … Oh My!

First, what is High Blood Pressure (HBP)? It is when blood forced through the arteries is too much. This higher force or pressure than WNL (“within normal limits”) has potential side effects of causing hypertension, heart attacks, strokes, anxiety, and mental illness.

There’s nothing like being home for the holidays. Customers visiting My Georgia Credit Union are met with a beautiful mural on the side of the building, located on Plaza Way in downtown Clayton, that highlights the beauty of our community in the North Georgia Mountains.

Christmas Village shines for charity again this weekend

Colorful light displays and lively music feel the air during the holiday season. There are two more opportunities to see the 11th annual Christmas Village of Lights on display in Tiger on Friday, Dec. 20, and Saturday, Dec. 21, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at 90 Tiger Connector, Tiger, each day.

Food Bank gives back during holidays

The holiday season is in full swing and the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia is once again giving back to the community and putting smiles on the faces of kids. Several children had fun decorating Christmas cookies during an event on Dec. 16.
