Gerrells sworn-in as Rabun County Sheriff

Sheriff-elect Mark Gerrells was sworn in on Thursday, Oct. 3 to finish the 2021-2024 term of sheriff. Probate Judge Carlton H. Jones, III administered the Oath of Office in his courtroom Thursday morning.

ATLANTA – Gov. Brian Kemp declared a state of emergency in Georgia Tuesday with Tropical Storm Helene expected to make landfall along Florida’s Gulf Coast as a Category 3 hurricane Thursday night.

Third Annual Hope Walk kicks off Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Fight Abuse In The Home (F.A.I.T.H.) is partnering with other local businesses to host events bringing awareness to the issue of domestic violence in our community and working together in prevention. Together we can stop abuse.
