Submitted photos. The Sept. 7 “Rootstock” musical event held at the Rabun County Civic Center pavilions was free as bands played music for 10 hours. The event was geared toward bringing the youth and community together.

Numerous leaders in the community including officials, law enforcement, church leaders, nonprofit representatives and many others in Rabun County and the region came together to learn more about how to prevent violence at the Stopping Violence Breakfast on Aug. 29. The Community Room at the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia was filled with attendees.
