Rabun Pickleball Club Hurricane Benefit

On Oct. 10, the Rabun Pickleball Club hosted a hurricane relief benefit function at the Universal Joint in Clayton. Local band Sweet Charity donated their time and talents for a fun evening. The event raised over $2500 to help hurricane Helene victims in North Carolina and Georgia.

One of the 10 public health achievements of the last century was recognizing that tobacco use is a health hazard. The 1964 Surgeon General’s report named the health risks of smoking and in 2006, the American Cancer Society (ACS) won a major court case against “Big Tobacco.

Contestants were the epitome of elegance and grace at the 69th Miss RCHS Scholarship Pageant held in the Fine Arts Building (FAB) at Rabun County Schools on Saturday, Nov. 2. It was glitz and glamor as the girls walked across the stage with poise and confidence.

RCSO arrests Tiger pair for possession, distribution of drugs

A Tiger man and woman were arrested on charges of trafficking illegal drugs and possession of controlled substances following a search warrant at a residence in Tiger on Oct. 23. “The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) conducted a successful operation on Oct.

The Oct. 14 Rabun County Democrats monthly meeting held at the Community Room of the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia featured two guest speakers who spoke to a large crowd of almost 70 Rabun residents.
