Discussion on $5 million grant funding for the proposed Sky Valley Sewer Project continues as council members held a special called work session on March 3 with many citizens in attendance.

The potential for gas at the Tiger four-way intersection is closer to a vote by council members following a public meeting for a change in zoning request from the owners of Tiger Biscuit Place (BP) General Store at Tiger Town Hall on Monday, March 2.

Sky Valley City Council members on Tuesday adopted an amendment to the Sky Valley Zoning Ordinance that adds language allowing full-time and part-time residents to be appointed to serve on the Sky Valley Planning and Zoning Commission.

Qualifying is underway for the upcoming May 19 General Primary Election/Nonpartisan Election, and multiple individuals have filled out qualifying paperwork for Magistrate Judge and for seats on the Rabun County Board of Commissioners and Board of Education.
