Changing lives: Accountability courts help with recovery
Megan Horn/The Clayton Tribune. Ferst Readers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit available in Rabun County from birth to five-years-old. The program is free for participating families and mails age-appropriate books to each child once a month, a newsletter that features book guides and activity pages as well as more resources to help get the most out of reading together as a family. Each book, such as these pictured, is specifically chosen for each child’s stage of development.

The students were honored and had their scholarship signing ceremony on Nov. 21 in the Rabun County High School Fine Arts Building Band Room among family, friends, community supporters and school administrators.
