The Rabun County FFA Livestock Program ended the Winter Show Season last week after showing at the 2025 State Livestock Show, held from Feb. 19-22 at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry, Ga.

We are just at the beginning of March, but as of last week there have already been 222 people with measles in 2025 (an increase of 60 people in one week). In other words, in just the first nine weeks of 2025, the United States has 80 percent of the measles cases that we had for all of 2024.

Suspect now in custody for murder of former Clayton man

A wanted murder suspect and 18-year-old Anderson County, S.C., man is now in custody after an almost week-long search. Detectives have charged Daeshawn Marquize Wilson with the murder of once-missing man Jimmy Allen Ramey, 31, of Seneca, S.C. Ramey is formerly of Clayton.
