Activities bring awareness to domestic violence in our community

October is “Domestic Violence Awareness Month” and community members have come together for various activities and education outreach to bring attention to the important cause, how it impacts our community and what we can do together to help.

Experience the History of Clayton in an interactive way with the new display at the Rabun County Historical Society. Through the pictures and signs, museum-goers can discover the rich in-depth history of Rabun County, Northeast Georgia and the History of Clayton.

Motorists traveling on Chechero Street near Plaza Way around 2:40 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, likely noticed water spraying profusely in the area. Standing water could be seen along the parking lot behind the shopping center as well.

Advocating for your own health and moving forward are important goals for Jolie York after being diagnosed with, going through treatments, and overcoming breast cancer. At age 37, York was very healthy with no family history of breast cancer.
