‘Over the Moon’ for the comedy Moon Over Buffalo

Audience members should prepare to begin laughing from the very beginning of Ken Ludwig’s two-act play Moon Over Buffalo presented by the North Georgia Community Players. As soon as the curtain opens, viewers are introduced to colorful costuming and an action-packed scene of thrilling emotions.

Downtown Spruce Pine, N.C., was completely devastated during Hurricane Helene as businesses and houses experienced destructive flooding and high-powered winds. Roads, bridges and railroad tracks collapsed and remain destroyed.

County-wide cleanup progressing following damage from hurricane

Rabun County residents were met with widespread power and communication outages from downed power lines, fallen trees, significant levels of rainfall and even severe damage to property in some areas as the weather that came with Hurricane Helene hurdled through the community.

Congratulating Royalty

Rabun County High School senior cheerleader Sayler Waldrip was named this year’s Homecoming Queen during halftime of Rabun County’s 50-14 win over Providence Christian Academy on Saturday, Sept. 28. She was escorted by her father Brandon Waldrip and joined by her mother Michelle Waldrip.
