Waldrip crowned 69th Miss RCHS

Contestants were the epitome of elegance and grace at the 69th Miss RCHS Scholarship Pageant held in the Fine Arts Building (FAB) at Rabun County Schools on Saturday, Nov. 2. It was glitz and glamor as the girls walked across the stage with poise and confidence.

Fall Business Breakfast presents projected economic outlook, grant opportunities for small businesses

The Forward Rabun 2024 Fall Business Breakfast brought a full crowd on Oct. 24 as business and community leaders had the opportunity to hear from guest speakers about next year’s projected economic outlook as well as learn about grant and loan opportunities for businesses.

RCSO arrests Tiger pair for possession, distribution of drugs

A Tiger man and woman were arrested on charges of trafficking illegal drugs and possession of controlled substances following a search warrant at a residence in Tiger on Oct. 23. “The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) conducted a successful operation on Oct.

Rabun County Democrats host two guest speakers

The Oct. 14 Rabun County Democrats monthly meeting held at the Community Room of the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia featured two guest speakers who spoke to a large crowd of almost 70 Rabun residents.

North Georgia Arts Guild ‘detours’ their creative process at Show and Tell

The North Georgia Arts Guild held a member’s Show and Tell on Oct. 17 where artists could showcase their colorful, unique and handcrafted creations.

Rabun 4th in state for voter turnout

Advance Voting continues into its third week with over 7,000 people having already cast their ballots for the Nov. 5 General and Special Election. The early voting ends Friday, Nov. 1, with extended voter hours this week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Rabun County Elections Office, 184 S.

Advance voting continues into its second week as over 4,600 people have already cast their ballots for the Nov. 5 General and Special Election. The early voting ends Friday, Nov. 1, with another opportunity for voting early on Saturday, Oct. 26, as well.
