Goodwyn, Yearwood earn first-team All-State honors

The Recruit Georgia All-State selections were announced with six Wildcat football players being named to the Georgia Class A Division I All-State team on Saturday, Dec. 23.

Wildcats score season-high in 81-46 route of Warriors

The Rabun County High School boys basketball team won big during the final day of last weekend’s Jaemor Farms Jingle Jam at Banks County High School.  After falling to River Ridge 79-40 on Dec. 21, the Wildcats responded by blowing out the Warriors of West Oak (S.C.) 81-46 on Dec. 22.

Athens Christian to join Tallulah Falls in GIAA

Tallulah Falls School announced on Dec. 15 its intentions to join the Georgia Independent Athletic Association at the start of the 2024-2025 academic year, and as of Wednesday, Dec. 20, current region foe Athens Christian will join the GIAA as well.

Lady Cats claim third in Cherokee Invitational

The Rabun County High School girls basketball team finished third in Insider Exposure’s Cherokee Invitational last week at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort.

With the early signing period for college football beginning Wednesday, Dec. 20, Rabun County High School held a ceremony on Monday, Dec. 18, for Wildcat standout defensive back Willie Goodwyn where he signed to play football for the University of Cincinnati.

Tallulah Falls says goodbye to GHSA; set to join GIAA in 2024

Tallulah Falls School has decided to leave the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) for the Georgia Independent Athletic Association (GIAA) at the start of the 2024-25 academic year.  The move will place TFS in the 2024-26 reclassification cycle for GIAA.

RCHS wrestlers host first regular season meet, earn top spots in Raider Invitational

The Rabun County High School wrestling team competed in the 2023 Habersham Raider Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 9, at Habersham Central.  Ten teams were present for the invitational. The hosting Raiders came in first with a score of 190.5, 65.5 points ahead of second place Stephens County.
