The 2023 Rabun County football season was a hard journey for RCHS senior specialist Hayden Ross who, prior to the start of last season, tore his ACL and was forced to miss his entire season.

RCHS track falls to Union County in season opener

The Rabun County High School track and field team competed in its first meet of the 2024 season on Tuesday as RCHS played host to Union County.  Overall, both the Union County girls and boys teams bested the Wildcats and Lady Cats.

Wildcats draw Prince Avenue in first round of state tourney

The Rabun County High School boys basketball team lost to Athens Christian 72-63 in the Georgia Class A DI Region 8 championship game Feb. 16, but head into the state tournament as a No. 2 seed.

Grappling Wildcats make waves in wrestling state tournament

The Rabun County High School wrestling team finished the final day of this year’s GHSA Traditional state championship in the Macon Centreplex where four Wildcats placed within the top five of their respective weight classes on Saturday, Feb. 17.

Canes ain’t able to keep up with hoops’ Lady Cats as region winners advance

Rifling undefeated in regular season

The Tallulah Falls School rifling team honored its four seniors on Thursday, Feb. 8, with a win over Buford.  The victory over the Wolves secured a perfect regular season in the process.

RGNS honors its winter senior athletes; Eagles notch first playoff win

Rabun Gap Nacoochee School honored its senior athletes during the girls and boys basketball games for their efforts during their respective winter seasons on Friday, Feb. 9.  Overall, there were 10 seniors honored who are members of the RGNS basketball, wrestling and swim teams, respectively.

RCHS tennis in full-swing, high hopes for deeper playoff run in 2024

The Rabun County tennis teams began their respective seasons earlier this month with an opening match against Lumpkin County on Thursday, Feb. 1.  Both the Wildcats and Lady Cats lost those respective matches with the Wildcats falling 5-0 and the Lady Cats by a score of 4-1. On Thursday, Feb.
