‘Row the Boat’ diamond Eagles to navigate waters with young core

Baseball is back and the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School baseball team is ready to take to the diamond for the 2024 season.  After a long winter of bullpens, workouts and tune-ups, the Eagles will suit up for the first time Friday, Feb. 16, against Georgia high school power North Atlanta.

Wildcats earn No. 2 seed in region tourney, eliminate Blue Devils

The Rabun County High School boys basketball team is currently in the thick of the 2024 Region 8 tournament of Georgia Class A Division I.  The No. 2-seeded Wildcats defeated No. 3 seed in Elbert County at host Athens Christian 79-57.

Ticket to Macon Punched: Five Wildcats qualify for state tourney

The Rabun County High School wrestling team was successful on the mats in the 2024 GHSA Traditional Wrestling Sectional of Class A Division I on Saturday, Feb. 10.  Competing in Section A, five Wildcats qualified for the state championship meet this weekend, Feb. 15-17.

For the past 57 years, the Super Bowl has brought joy and excitement for millions of football fans through historical moments and the hopes of athletes etching their names in national football greatness.  This upcoming Sunday, Feb.

TFS track teams excel at ‘Last Chance Invite’ in Alabama

The Tallulah Falls Track and Field team competed at the “Last Chance Invite” in Birmingham, Ala., for the ninth time in the school’s history. A meet that featured 600 total teams and over 4,400 athletes saw the Indians succeed against the vast competition.

Tallulah Falls soccer seeks to continue winning ways

Tuesday, Feb. 6, will mark the start of the 2024 regular season for the Tallulah Falls School soccer teams.  The Indians and Lady Indians will kickoff their respective seasons at home as they host Athens Academy.

Lady Cats tame Tigers in final road matchup of regular season

The Rabun County High School girls basketball team won its final road game of the 2023-24 regular season after defeating region foe Commerce 81-46 on Friday, Jan. 26.
