Wade Cheek/The Clayton Tribune. The Rabun County Lady Cats hoist the trophy from the Piedmont University Hardwood Classic after defeating Class AA Union County 82-80 as RCHS came back from being 19 points behind. The Lady Cats were led in the game by senior Lucy Hood who scored 41.

These costumed ladies were among the participants in the Turkey Trot event to raise money for the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia. The run was held on Thanksgiving morning. Wildcat running back Reid Giles breaks multiple tackles at the line of scrimmage and then outraces John Durden and other Whitefield Academy WolfPack defenders 56 yards for a touchdown. Reid led the Wildcats in rushing with 104 yards and two scores in RCHS’s 42-14 win to move into the state Elite Eight.
