Rabun County Republican Party awarded Best Fundraiser Award

The Rabun County Republican Party was awarded the Best Fundraiser Award for its Rabun County Low Country Boil Event held in August 2022. The Best Fundraiser Award was presented by the Georgia 9th District GOP in Flowery Branch, Ga., on April 14.

Armed Forces Convoy rolls through Rabun County

The Rabun County community came together to salute the men and women in the Armed Forces for their sacrifices and bravery during the Armed Forces Day Convoy Saturday, May 20. “The veterans really enjoyed the Veterans Convoy we organized for them.

Awards breakfast honors businesses and individuals

DILLARD– Businesses and community members who have made important impacts in Rabun County were honored at the Forward Rabun/Rabun County Chamber of Commerce Community and Business Awards Breakfast Tuesday, May 16.

The commencement ceremonies also included a baccalaureate speech, given by Rev. Dr. Jeffry Lynn Reynolds. The Rabun Gap seniors helped achieve two back-to-back state championships as well as the Shuler Award for the arts program, on top of all 100 earning acceptance into a four-year college or university.

Rabun Gap hosts commencement on a sunny Sunday

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School honored their 100 seniors in the commencement exercises on the Upper School Lawn on Sunday, May 21. The commencement also included a baccalaureate speaker, Rev. Dr. Jeffry Lynn Reynolds.

Tallulah Falls graduates open door to life’s next phase

Clayton water and sewer improvement projects ongoing

CLAYTON– The City of Clayton continues to make improvements on its water and sewer infrastructure as officials actively work on various projects throughout the city.

May 14-20 celebrated in community as ‘National Skilled Nursing Care Week’

CLAYTON – “National Skilled Nursing Care Week” is celebrated May 14-20 around the nation to honor the important role skilled nursing care centers care for individuals in the community.

LAKE BURTON– The Fourth Annual Lake Burton Civic Association (LBCA) Vintage Wooden Boat Parade and Show will set sail on Lake Burton just in time for Memorial Day weekend on Sunday, May 28.
