Retirement reception for Free honors deputy for his service

CLAYTON– Deputy Tony Free retired from his career in law enforcement and a retirement reception was held for him on May 4. Free was presented with an award for his dedicated service by Sheriff Chad Nichols. Free said he was thankful for the kind retirement reception.

RCHS Student Art Show showcases creative students

TIGER– Artwork was on display in the Fine Arts Building at Rabun County High School (RCHS) May 13 for the Student Art Show and many people came out to see the creative talents of the students. “It’s been a really good year,” said Amy Jarrard, RCHS Fine Arts Department chair and art teacher.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee graduates its largest class in school history

It was a historic 119th commencement at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School on Sunday, May 15, as the School celebrated its largest and most accomplished graduating class.

Tiger, Dillard pass moratoriums on non-traditional developments

The Town of Tiger and City of Dillard now have joined Rabun County in passing moratoriums on Non-Traditional Developments. The City of Clayton recently passed moratoriums as well, regarding certain types of construction in particular zoning areas.
