Dillard Police Department receives new ballistic vests from FOP

DILLARD-- The Dillard Police Department was recently presented with three ballistic vests donated by the 501(c)(3) Georgia Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Foundation.

Renovated library now open for business

CLAYTON-- The Rabun County Public Library is now open after being closed for over a month for extensive renovations.  The library received a Major Repair and Renovation grant from the Georgia Public Library Service to fund the project.

Wildcats play great, make Elite 8

The Rabun County Wildcats left Tiger Tuesday morning for their first-ever Elite 8 playoff game, scheduled for Wednesday night at Thomasville. Fans turned out to support the team as they departed.

DDA discusses Stekoa Creek greenway project

CLAYTON-- The Clayton Downtown Development Authority (DDA) discussed a project to provide walking access from Stekoa Creek Park to downtown Clayton at Tuesday’s meeting.

Shope honored for service to Chamber

CLAYTON--A reception for former Rabun County Chamber of Commerce Director Juanita Shope was held last Thursday at The Diner below the Rabun County Civic Center.  It was announced earlier this month that Shope resigned as president and community liaison of the Chamber.
