FAITH Sweetheart Ball rescheduled for Feb. 29 due to snowstorm

Saturday’s sudden snow storm affected more than drivers on local roads. FAITH’s (Fight Abuse in the Home) 22nd Annual Sweetheart Ball was cancelled for the first time in its history.   Months of preparation went into planning the ball that expected 340 guests.

Sky Valley sisters to play rivals in ‘Cirque Arqadia’ at RGNS starting Feb. 13

Sisters Cydni  and Peyton Coppage of Sky Valley will take the Rearden Stage as rivals in Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School’s production of “Cirque Arqadia” this week. This year’s show, scheduled for February 13-15, is more student-driven than ever before.

Lieberman addresses Rabun Democrats

Snow day in Rabun

Rabun County experienced the first significant snowfall of the new year last Friday. The white stuff began falling shortly after daybreak. Schools were dismissed early as some areas of the county received approximately 3 inches of accumulation.

ELK completes purchase of business park building

The Development Authority of Rabun County (DARC) put the final touches on the sale of the former Fruit of the Loom building Monday during their regular monthly meeting. The board accepted a ceremonial check representing the $8.
