Amethyst Spa holds Open House and Ribbon-Cutting

The Open House and Ribbon-Cutting at Amethyst Spa on Thursday, July 10, was fabulous! Amethyst Spa (Julie Crane, owner) celebrated five years in business, and Forward Rabun/Rabun County Chamber of Commerce helped them cut a ribbon on the next five years in business!
Submitted. The Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokee and the Executive Board of the Northeast Georgia Council, BSA, joined on June 26 to sign a Memorandum of Understanding that expressed these shared values and a commitment to support each other in increasing awareness and promoting authentic Cherokee heritage. Pictured are Trip Selman, Rhonda Bennett and Michael Levengood holding framed copies of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

Independence Day gave residents and visitors to Rabun County multiple opportunities to see fireworks -- be those at the lakes or in the municipalities. The Tiger Drive-In shot off its annual fireworks on Saturday, July 5, before a packed drive-in got to see the new “Jurassic World Rebirth” film.
