The cause of a fire at a Green St. property in Mountain City Sept. 1 has been ruled as arson, according to the Office of Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire. The fire destroyed a vehicle and damaged a metal shop building, John F.

Rabun County artists Libby Mathews and Peter McIntosh, presented their artwork to Gov. Brian Kemp and Georgia’s First Lady Marty Kemp at the State Capitol last month. The exhibit is a collaboration between the Office of the Governor and the Georgia Council for the Arts.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School started the first day of the 2023-2024 school year on Wednesday, Aug. 23, welcoming 675 students in PreK through 12th grade. Rabun Gap is serving more students than ever from the local area and around the world.
