Races to be contested after week’s qualifying

The City of Clayton and Town of Tallulah Falls have contested races for the Nov. 7 election. The other municipalities will not have elections because the exact number of candidates qualified for the posts. For the City of Clayton, two council seats are being contested.

Forward Rabun/Rabun County Chamber of Commerce celebrated its newest “Silver” Member, Groovy Bus & Groovy Palace, with a Ribbon-Cutting & After Five Event on Thursday, Aug. 17,  at 5:30 p.m. at the location of the new Groovy Palace, 122 Cannon Street, Clayton.

Currahee Nonprofit Night benefits Rabun County Marching Wildcats

Public discusses city zoning concerns at forum

It’s no secret that significant growth has come to Rabun County and its six municipalities in the past few years.

Clayton local promoted to lieutenant colonel at UNG

Rabun County native LTC Stephanie Ann Hartley was promoted from major to lieutenant colonel during a ceremony Saturday, Aug. 12, at the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega. Lieutenant colonel is the second field grade officer rank in the United States Army.
