Dills selected by peers as sheriff’s office Deputy of the Year

Ever since he can remember, Deputy Dakota Dills wanted to be part of the change and become a law enforcement officer. His peers saw that passion for helping others and voted Dills as the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office Deputy of the Year.

Sale to benefit Paws 4 Life raises $491

Gallery 441 and Tallulah Gorgeous in Dillard held an Art Sale and Clothing Rummage last weekend and raised $491 for Paws 4 Life. The event was held at the retail stores, located at 6795 Highway 441 in Dillard and featured dogs ready for adoption from Paws 4 Life.

Tallulah Falls School honors outstanding students, faculty, staff

Tallulah Falls School has announced its outstanding students, faculty and staff for 2021. Award winners were surprised at a Dec. 15 assembly. “It is my pleasure to recognize excellence through these annual awards,” said President and Head of School Larry A. Peevy.

TFS cuts ribbon on new school store

Members of the entrepreneur class commemorated an experiential learning project with the opening of the new school store on Dec. 7. The name, 1909., is a nod to the past, noting the year of the school’s founding.

Also damaged were a control box and extension cords. The trees weighed about 30 pounds each and two white and two multi-color were stolen. About $1,200 worth of damage was done.

Grinch steals trees from Village of Lights display

The Grinch has made his way to Rabun County. Several decorations were stolen from the Christmas Village of Lights display in Tiger overnight last Thursday. The display is located at 90 Tiger Connector, Tiger.
