Providence Day halts Rabun Gap win streak

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles got the first touchdown of the night last Friday at Providence Day, but surrendered 25 unanswered points in a 25-14 defeat. RGNS tumbled to 6-2 with the result, which halted a six-game win streak.

TFS spikers win playoff opener, tumble in second-round tussle

The Tallulah Falls School volleyball squad made history Oct. 20, advancing to the Sweet 16 in back-to-back seasons for the first time.  In the Class A Private brackets, Region 8 runner-up TFS dominated Region 6 third-seed Fellowship Christian, 25-20, 28-26, 25-13 for its 23rd win.

Eagles double up Carmel Christian, 4-2

A battle of boys soccer heavyweights last Saturday went Rabun Gap-Nacoochee’s way, as the host Eagles scored four times in the last 12 minutes to beat previously unbeaten Carmel Christian, 4-2. Sebastian Zavala, Mateo Diaz and Winfred Sarpong all converted penalty kicks.

TFS spikers split four matches ahead of region tourney

Splitting matches on consecutive days last week, the Tallulah Falls School volleyball squad took a 21-10 record to the Region 8-A Private tournament. The tournament was scheduled to start this week, and the top four teams will earn spots in the state brackets. At White County Oct.
