Three shutouts are among four wins for Rabun Gap boys soccer

Four wins and a draw in recent matches pushed the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee boys soccer Eagles to 6-1-1 on the season.  In their frequent visits to North Carolina, the Eagles forged a 2-2 stalemate at Franklin Aug. 26, then defeated T.C. Roberson (3-2) Aug. 30 and Carolina Day (5-0) Sept. 1 in Asheville.

Rabun Ga-Nacoochee home football game tonight cancelled

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School’s Friday home football game with A.C. Reynolds of Asheville, N.C., has been cancelled due to a COVID-19 outbreak on the Reynolds team, according to a statement on the RGNS athletics Twitter page. The scheduled 7:30 p.m.

Tallulah runners deliver strong results at start of season

Evan Prince finished seventh overall at the AT&T Starr's Mill Panther Meet last Saturday to lead the Tallulah Falls cross-country teams. The boys, who finished 22nd overall in Fayetteville, had four runners establish personal records, while the varsity girls came in 25th overall.

RCHS football games Sept. 3 and Sept. 10 cancelled

Due to COVID protocols and in the interest of player safety, Rabun County High has had to cancel its Friday, Sept. 3, game at Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, according to a statement from head football coach and athletic director Jaybo Shaw posted to the Rabun County football Twitter page.

Wildcats paste Pace for first win

Gunner Stockton threw six touchdown passes and ran for another as Rabun County walloped visiting Pace Academy, 47-14 last Saturday night before an ESPN2 audience.
