Pupils become teachers at Rabun’s Future Wildcats Camp

TIGER — The students became the teachers at Rabun County’s annual Future Wildcats Football Camp this week. The players who were once in the shoes of elementary-age student-athletes helped varsity coaches teach football fundamentals and played two-hand touch at the two-day camp at the team’s practice field Monday and Tuesday night.

Former Braves negotiating to join celebrity golf event

CLAYTON — Some former Atlanta Braves players are among those in negotiations to join the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office Celebrity Golf Tournament next month. Sheriff Chad Nichols said he’s not yet releasing the names of the former players who have expressed interest in coming to the event benefiting Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes, because he’s still awaiting confirmation.
