Swim team celebrates first season

Closing the inaugural Tallulah Falls School summer swim league season, two dozen athletes celebrated with a shark-themed meet last Friday.  New natatorium director Katie Ralston engaged the help of youth coaches and lifeguards to add a festive touch to the new swim facility.

Bozzi announced as new RGNS wrestling coach

Conor Bozzi brings more than 15 years of experience to his new position as head wrestling coach at the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School.  A Connecticut native, Bozzi coached at some of the more competitive programs in New England.

Fun Run brings big turnout

A 25-year-old from Colorado paced the men and an Atlanta teenager posted the top women’s time last Saturday morning at the 36th annual Lake Burton Fun Run.  Over the two-mile course, Noah Schaich of Fort Collins, Colo., was first to the finish line in 10:24.49.

Runners line up for 5K, 10K races at Rabun Ramble

A cool morning greeted about 500 runners last Saturday for the Rabun Ramble 5K and 10K races at Lake Rabun.  “It was probably the best one that we’ve had in the 15 years we’ve been running this race,” said event organizer Sandy Strong, who noted record times.

RGNS alumnus Greener returning to coach Lady Eagles soccer squad

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee is welcoming back 2008 graduate Jesse Greener as its new girls soccer head coach.  Greener just finished her fourth season in the same job at Cambridge High School in Milton, about 30 miles north of Atlanta. Cambridge plays in Class 6A in the Georgia High School Association.

TFS earns sportsmanship, AD honors

Following a memorable 2020-21 year in athletics, Tallulah Falls School and athletic director Scott Neal have received regional praise.  Neal has been named Athletic Director of the Year for Region 8-A Private by the Georgia Athletic Director’s Association.
