’Cats wrap up spring practices

Spring practices have concluded, and the Rabun County football Wildcats turn their focus to summer as the calendar winds its way toward the season opener in less than three months.  The Wildcats closed spring practices Tuesday afternoon with a brisk workout focusing on certain game situations.

Indians’ Respress signs to compete at Anderson

Tallulah Falls School senior Simeon Respress signed a national letter of intent Monday to compete in track and field at Anderson University in Anderson, S.C. Anderson is an NCAA Division II member of the South Atlantic Conference.

Rabun netters bring back four trophies from Dahlonega

Rabun County tennis players Ian Thompson, Abby Sego, Robbie Fountain and Landan Bedingfield made their presences felt last Saturday and Sunday at the Northeast Georgia Tennis Association’s first High School Championship Round-Robin Regional Tournament in Dahlonega.

TFS brings home third from Class A Private track meet

With 52 points, the Tallulah Falls boys track and field team finished a strong third at the state Class A Private meet May 13-15 at McEachern High School.  The points were the most the Indians have ever amassed at state, and the trophy their first-ever from the meet.

Tallulah girls tie for second in state golf

Maggie Jackson and Brinson Hall closed their brilliant Tallulah Falls School golf careers by leading the Lady Indians to a second-place tie May 17 and 18 at the Class A Private state tournament in Tucker.

Eagles’ Jackson, Bryson, relay team win NCISAA titles

Calea Jackson brought home two individual state titles for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, and Coleman Bryson won another and ran on a winning relay team May 15 at the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association Division I state track and field championships. At Cary Academy in Cary, N.C.
