Frias breaks RCHS pole vault mark at White County meet

An 18-year-old Rabun County High school track and field record fell April 2, as senior Aidan Frias posted 13-5 to break the boys pole vault mark at the Mount Yonah Invitational in Cleveland.  Logan James set the previous mark of 13-4 in 2003.

Indians batter Walhalla, match program record

The Tallulah Falls baseball Indians tied a program-best with their 12th win last Friday, a 13-3, five-inning blowout at Walhalla, S.C. In their first game in eight days, the Indians got four Kylar Clouatre RBIs and matched their previous best win total set in 2018.

Wildcats win 10th, belt East Jackson, 10-3

Rabun County blew apart a close game with a five-run sixth inning, then added insurance in the seventh for a 10-3 non-region win April 7 at East Jackson.  Of Rabun’s 11 hits, Brady Wilson had three with an RBI.

TFS, RCHS divide tennis matches

In their final tuneups before their region tournaments, the Rabun County and Tallulah Falls tennis teams split matches Monday on the RCHS courts.

Wildcats lose two of three to Elbert

Following a win at Region 8-AA rival Elbert County in the opener of a key three-game series, the Rabun County baseball Wildcats couldn’t sustain the momentum and dropped a home doubleheader to the Blue Devils last Friday.

Lady soccer ’Cats hammer Union, win first region title

The Rabun County High girls soccer team captured its first region title in dominating fashion March 30, cruising, 6-0 at Union County.  Lauren Barnes netted all six goals in the shutout, which raised the Lady Wildcats’ league mark to 5-0 with their sixth overall triumph.
