Rabun County blew apart a close game with a five-run sixth inning, then added insurance in the seventh for a 10-3 non-region win April 7 at East Jackson.  Of Rabun’s 11 hits, Brady Wilson had three with an RBI.

Rabun Gap’s Brown to play football at LaGrange College

After two seasons with the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee football program, Markus Brown is stepping up to the next level at LaGrange College. He confirmed his intentions April 1 in a ceremony at RGNS.

Triumph over Asheville Christian is fourth for Rabun Gap boys netters

Sweeping the doubles and splitting the singles, the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee boys tennis Eagles defeated visiting Asheville Christian, 6-3 last Thursday and stayed undefeated.  RGNS, which improved to 4-0 on the season, got singles and doubles victories from Alex Sabo, Leo Zhang and Jeb Bring.

Following a win at Region 8-AA rival Elbert County in the opener of a key three-game series, the Rabun County baseball Wildcats couldn’t sustain the momentum and dropped a home doubleheader to the Blue Devils last Friday.

Lady soccer ’Cats hammer Union, win first region title

The Rabun County High girls soccer team captured its first region title in dominating fashion March 30, cruising, 6-0 at Union County.  Lauren Barnes netted all six goals in the shutout, which raised the Lady Wildcats’ league mark to 5-0 with their sixth overall triumph.

Prince Avenue Christian takes series from TFS

After losing two of three to Prince Avenue Christian last week, the Tallulah Falls baseball Indians stood 11-6 overall and 6-3 in Region 8-A Private.  The visiting team won each game of the set, starting with the Wolverines’ 8-0 victory Monday, March 29, at the Higgins Baseball Complex.

Lady Eagles' Sadlon to play volleyball at Northern Vermont University-Johnson

College volleyball has been in Julia Sadlon’s sights since her sophomore year, and the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee senior will get her shot at Northern Vermont University-Johnson.  Sadlon considered a few other schools, but after learning about NVU-Johnson, “decided almost immediately” it was an ideal fit.
