RCHS baseball levels record at 2-2

A five-inning home victory over non-region East Hall last Thursday evened Rabun County’s record at 2-2 following losses the previous two days.  This week, Rabun had scheduled home games Tuesday against Stephens County and today with Lumpkin County.

Girls, boys 10-under cagers sweep district titles; Rabun to host state

The Rabun County boys and girls 10-under basketball squads both rolled to District 7 titles last weekend at the Rabun County Recreation Department. Rabun will host the state Class C 10-U tournaments this weekend.

RCHS, Hart divide soccer shutouts

Both matches of a Rabun County High home soccer doubleheader Feb. 23 with Hart County ended in shutouts.  The Wildcat girls (1-2) cruised to their first victory, 9-0 behind five Lauren Barnes goals. The senior has nine already this season.

RGNS girls soccer nets win, loss in first two matches

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee girls soccer team opened the season last week at home with a blowout win and a shutout loss.  The Lady Eagles (1-1) crushed Bethlehem Christian, 10-0 in the opener Feb. 23 as Claudia Lopez netted a hat trick with an assist, and five teammates found the net.

Offense explodes as RGNS baseball collects first two wins

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee baseball team evened its record at 2-2 last week, rolling up 13 runs in victories over White County and North Gwinnett.  The Eagles will visit Tallulah Falls Saturday for games with the hosts and Towns County, then travel March 10 to Asheville Christian.

Facility upgrades a ‘game-changer’ for Eagle baseball

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee baseball program has a new indoor home and renovated field as the 2021 season unfolds.  The program’s decorated history is now matched by an impressive field and facility.

TFS girls exit state tourney

The Tallulah Falls Lady Indians’ basketball season came to an end Tuesday night with a 63-42 loss to Wesleyan in the opening round of the state playoffs.  TFS started the game without senior leader Katy Corbett due to a lingering foot injury.

Rabun Gap’s Prim will play soccer at Carleton

The next stop on Will Prim’s soccer journey will take him about 1,100 miles north.  The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee student-athlete made his decision official Feb. 17, finalizing his intention to play at Division III Carleton College in Northfield, Minn.
