Corbett sets record in final home game; TFS girls roll

Katy Corbett torched the nets with six three-pointers in the first half, and she had a clear goal for the second half. “I need to get 10,” the Tallulah Falls senior said, noting that her mother and coach Brandy Corbett’s best effort was nine treys in a 45-point game at Jefferson High.

Victories bump RGNS boys cagers to 14-7

Reaching the home stretch, the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee boys basketball squad got back on the winning track with recent home decisions over Asheville Christian and the Asheville School. The Eagles improved to 14-7 with the victories, and head to Chattanooga, Tenn., today to meet Baylor.

Lady Eagles net two wins

Wins over Legacy Early College and the Asheville School sent the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee girls cagers into a busy slate of games later this week.  The Lady Eagles will be on the road for games today, Friday and Saturday. Today will be a trip to Baylor in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Barnes, key returnees highlight RCHS girls soccer lineup

In a program 23 players strong, Rabun County High girls soccer coach Brad Holcombe has a wealth of leadership taking the pitch this year.  The Lady Wildcats were slated to kick off a 14-match schedule Feb. 9 at home against non-region Stephens County. Tallulah Falls visits Friday.

RCHS boys soccer squad has blend of experience, fresh talent

The Rabun County High boys soccer squad has a wealth of “goal-hungry” performers and natural defenders ready to tackle Region 8-AA this spring.  “We are all very excited to get back out there,” second-year coach Alex Stafford said of his 19-player outfit.
