Two individuals and one team from the Early Rabun (prior to 1950) from the Class of 2020 are inductees into the Rabun County High School Wall of Fame/Athletic Hall of Fame.

’Cats bash Banks to open Region 8-AA schedule

On Oct. 9, the Rabun County Wildcats established a single-game school record for points.  On Halloween, they went one better.

Rabun Gap routs Metrolina for fifth win

Scoring on their first play from scrimmage and their last — plus many in between — the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles crushed visiting Metrolina Christian, 56-7 last Friday afternoon. “The biggest thing for us was to score early,” Rabun Gap head coach Joe Sturdivant said.

Wright, RCHS cross-country girls win 8-AA titles; boys reach state

The Rabun County High girls celebrated a championship and the boys placed third Oct. 28 at the Region 8-AA cross-country meet at Unicoi State Park.  Both the girls and boys teams qualified for the Class AA state meet, set for Saturday at Carrollton. The boys race will start at 12:30 p.m.

Corbett commits to play beach volleyball at Mercer

Katy Corbett will swap her green and white for orange and black.  The Tallulah Falls School senior volleyball standout has committed to continue her education and playing pursuits at Mercer University. The Lakemont resident will make the switch from indoor to beach volleyball.
