'Cats visit East Jackson, hunt fourth win

Following an off-week to recharge, the third-ranked Rabun County Wildcats continue their non-region schedule Friday night at East Jackson.  After some intense games already, RCHS head coach Jaybo Shaw said the open week was huge both physically and mentally.

'Cats get back on winning track

Bremen bolted out of the starting blocks, but Rabun County had the final word in a wild 48-34 road victory last Friday night.  In the fourth meeting between the schools since 2015, the Blue Devils led, 13-0 in the first two-and-a-half minutes and 27-21 after a frenetic first quarter.

Eagles' Klein commits to play for Michigan

From a host of major-college offers, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee tight end Marlin Klein has announced his commitment to the University of Michigan.  The 6-foot-6 junior from Cologne, Germany, is a tall target who just started playing football at age 13.

Rabun Gap edges RCHS in three-set cliffhanger

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee volleyball squad scored two three-set wins in a three-team playday last Thursday at Rabun County High.  The Lady Eagle spikers defeated Hart County, and later upended RCHS in a thriller which had both coaches praising their teams for their fire and grit.

Lady Indians bounce East Jackson in four sets

A four-set win over visiting East Jackson last Thursday was the 10th in 12 matches for the Tallulah Falls School volleyball squad.

Socer Eagles win third, lose second

A dominant win and a difficult loss put the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee boys soccer Eagles at 3-2 leading into this week’s matches.  Last Saturday, the Eagles stormed ahead, 4-0 by halftime against visiting Wesleyan Christian, and allowed only a late goal in a 4-1 verdict over the defending state champion.
