Alexander paces Lady Indian runners

The Tallulah Falls School girls cross-country squad placed second in the high school junior varsity race and the boys 13th in the varsity last Saturday at the North Georgia Championships in Jefferson.

TFS tops Lakeview in volleyball

After falling in two sets Aug. 25 at seventh-ranked White County, the Tallulah Falls School varsity volleyball squad rebounded by beating Lakeview in two sets.  Katy Corbett posted 15 digs and 11 kills — both team-highs — over the two matches for the Lady Indians, who went to 3-10.

RCHS football COVID plan nears release

Rabun County High School principal Justin Spillers said in an email Tuesday the school hasn’t set any changes to its COVID-19 precautionary measures for football, though the goal is to release a plan to the public Friday through the system website and social media platforms.

A few points separated the Tallulah Falls School volleyball team from a home upset of third-ranked Jefferson last Thursday, and visiting Cherokee Bluff defeated the Lady Indians in two sets.

First meet promising for TFS cross-country

The Tallulah Falls cross-country varsity boys placed 11th in the championship division and the girls third in junior-varsity competition last Saturday at the season-opening Northeast Georgia Championships in Athens.  Junior Evan Prince set the pace for the boys, placing 11th with a 17:14 time.

RCHS spikers notch home triumph

Five of six matches between last week and Tuesday went to the loss column for Rabun County volleyball, though promising signs did appear for the team and new coach Meredith Coleman. On Aug. 18, host Rabun swept Elbert County in two sets and lost to Lumpkin County in two.

Stockton going with Gamecocks
