Jackson, Hall push each other to lofty heights

Sixth-grader Maggie Jackson was forced to hit a shot from behind a tree in practice. She was nervous as teammates  — including Brinson Hall — looked on.  After she took the swing, the ball hit a tree and ricocheted over her head. She was mortified. She immediately took her next swing.

Schools eye summer athletic conditioning plans

Usually in early June, high school student-athletes have gotten a jump on the summer, mixing in some downtime with prepping for fall sports. The COVID-19 scare dictated a new normal and sparked the cancellation of spring sports among many other traditional student activities.

Sturdivant is Eagles’ new head football coach
