Rabun football announces 2025 gridiron schedule

The Rabun County High School football team announced its schedule for the upcoming 2025 fall season.  After undergoing personnel changes with the hiring of head coach Rance Gillespie and defensive coordinator Bill Stewart, RCHS will tackle the same 10 teams as last year.

Rabun tennis picks up region victory over Banks County

The Rabun County High School girls and boys tennis teams each racked up region victories over Banks County on Monday, March 24.  The Wildcats took the win over the Leopards 4-1, the Lady Cats also won 4-1, respectively.
Submitted. Rabun County teenager and long-time bull rider Gus Teeter will travel to Mexico and Australia, representing Team USA in the International World Title later this year. Teeter has been riding since the age of four.

Rabun local and 15-year-old bull rider Gus Teeter was recently chosen by Team USA Youth Rodeo to represent America in the upcoming International Bull Riding World Title, competing in his respective age bracket. “Gus accomplishes everything he has set out to do.

RCMS Lady Cats cruise to soccer title, undefeated campaign

The Rabun County Middle School girls soccer team defeated Habersham 2-1 on Saturday, March 22.  The Lady Cats’ victory this past weekend caps off a 14-0 season, just one year after the RCMS boys team claimed their respective title.

Rabun Little League kicks season off with exciting Opening Day ceremony

Rabun County Little League (RCLL) held its annual Opening Day ceremony to kick off the youth baseball season on Saturday, March 22.

Rabun boys tennis continues high expectations for 2025

The Rabun County High School boys tennis team has not skipped a beat since winning last year’s 8A-Division I region title over powerful Tallulah Falls School.  In their first eight matches, the Wildcats boasted a record of 6-2, all six wins resulting in 5-0 decisions.

RGNS baseball comes out of Spring Break swinging after holiday slate

It’s been a busy spring for the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School baseball team, and it’s only March.  RGNS was empty as students left campus for Spring Break from Feb. 28 to March 17, but the Eagle baseball team didn’t stop playing games.

RCHS boys earn win over BASA after OT soccer loss to Providence Christian

The Rabun County High School boys soccer team is playing its best soccer as March begins to make way into April.  After dropping its first two matches to Franklin County and Tallulah Falls School, respectively, the Wildcats have won four of their last five, two being region victories.

RGNS boys lacrosse approaching ‘Chapter 3’ of season

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School boys lacrosse team has set its 2025 season up similar to that of a story.  Chapter One for the Eagles was the opening slate of games, which included two wins in three games – those being over JL Mann High School (S.C) and conference opponent Asheville School.
