Rabun Gap volleyball to serve up season opener this Friday

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School volleyball team will begin its 2024 season this Friday, Aug. 9, when the Eagles will travel to Whitefield Academy in a non-league bout.

Eagles to boot season off with state title rematch

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School boys soccer team will start the 2024 season the same way that they ended in 2023, with a battle against Wesleyan Christian Academy in High Point, N.C.

RCHS volleyball, Class of 2025 head into new area for 2024

The Rabun County High School volleyball team will head into the new 2024 season with new opponents, implications and challenges. As of The Clayton Tribune’s press time, the Lady Cats were aiming for their first match on Tuesday, Aug.

Mountain Air Classic wakes through Lake Burton for 24th year

The Mountain Air Classic returned to Lake Burton for its 24th year on the water on Saturday, Aug. 3.  Under the operation of OneWake, a water sports brand, 35 contestants of all ages ripped past Billy Goat Island on wakeboards to show off their skills in front of a solid lake crowd.

Eagles earn primetime slot on ESPN for bout with Raiders

Be sure to tune into ESPN on Sunday, Aug. 25, at 1 p.m. as the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School football team will make its historical and first-ever appearance on a national network.  In front of a national audience, the Eagles will take on Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Lady Cats fall 15-11 in opening game against Lumpkin; offense surges late

Former Olympian runner aims to keep Team USA healthy in Paris Olympics

T he Olympics are once again upon us as the 2024 Summer Olympics will kick off today, Thursday, July 25, in Paris. Team USA is expected to represent its nation well with another year atop the medal table so all eyes will be on the 592 American Olympians and Paralympians over the coming months.
