The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School volleyball team will begin its 2024 season this Friday, Aug. 9, when the Eagles will travel to Whitefield Academy in a non-league bout.

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School boys soccer team will start the 2024 season the same way that they ended in 2023, with a battle against Wesleyan Christian Academy in High Point, N.C.
Submitted. The RCHS varsity volleyball team began its season on Tuesday, Aug, 6 by defeating Commerce and West Hall to go 2-0 on the day. This year’s 2024 volleyball team includes from left assistant coach Kendall Sorrow, Elexa English, Madison Houck, Hayden Bass, Faith McDade, Lucy Maney, Arabella Nepa, Gracie Dunn, Melanie Wells and head coach April Jones; not pictured Le Martin.

The Rabun County High School volleyball team will head into the new 2024 season with new opponents, implications and challenges. As of The Clayton Tribune’s press time, the Lady Cats were aiming for their first match on Tuesday, Aug.

Mountain Air Classic wakes through Lake Burton for 24th year

The Mountain Air Classic returned to Lake Burton for its 24th year on the water on Saturday, Aug. 3.  Under the operation of OneWake, a water sports brand, 35 contestants of all ages ripped past Billy Goat Island on wakeboards to show off their skills in front of a solid lake crowd.

Eagles earn primetime slot on ESPN for bout with Raiders

Be sure to tune into ESPN on Sunday, Aug. 25, at 1 p.m. as the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School football team will make its historical and first-ever appearance on a national network.  In front of a national audience, the Eagles will take on Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Former Olympian runner aims to keep Team USA healthy in Paris Olympics
