Tallulah Falls cross country hosts 20th-annual Cookies ‘n Quotes XC Festival

The Tallulah Falls School cross country team held its 20th-annual Cookies ‘n Quotes XC Festival on Tuesday, Sept. 3, at the TFS Farm Course.  The meet is exactly what the name portrays, a 5-kilometer run that ends with each competitor receiving homemade cookies and handwritten inspirational quotes.

Giles takes Dalton on magic carpet ride

The Rabun County High School football team defeated Dalton High School 35-13 in its first home game of the 2024 season on Friday, Sept. 6, on Hall of Fame Night.

Lady Cats drop first region bouts with Providence Christian, Commerce

The 2024 softball season is in full swing as the Rabun County High School softball team has now opened region play in Georgia 8-A DI with games versus Providence Christian Academy and Commerce.  RCHS fell to both the opponents, making its record 2-5 as of The Clayton Tribune’s press time.

Nepa, English leading way as Rabun volleyball gets .500 start

The Rabun County High School volleyball team is off to a 6-6 start to the 2024 season since beginning on Tuesday, Aug. 6.  As of The Clayton Tribune’s press time, the Lady Cats were scheduled to travel to Athens for a tri-match against Athens Christian and and Trinity Prep.

Nationally ranked Eagles kickoff with bigger goals, tougher mindset

When the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School made the moves to hire Head of School Jeff Miles in December 2019 and head football coach Derek White in February 2022, they both had the goal of expanding their football team to new heights and rank within the the top-50 teams in America.

Friday night lights & its excitement returns

Toe met leather for the first time this Fall in Frank Snyder Memorial Stadium on Friday, Aug. 9, when the Rabun County High School football team took on Franklin (N.C.) High School in a jamboree scrimmage game under the lights.
