COVID community transmission level high in Rabun

Rabun County’s COVID-19 community transmission level is classified as high, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) data tracker, as of Tuesday.  According to the data, 3,638 people in Rabun County are fully vaccinated. This is 21.2 percent of the total population.

New assistant jail administrator wants to make a difference

LAKEMONT-- Participants of Leadership Rabun were given certificates of completion at the Rabun County Chamber of Commerce after hours event in Lakemont last month.  The awards were handed out by former Chamber of Commerce President Tony Allred.

Shootings in Stephens leave three injured

Three victims are recovering from a pair of Sunday shooting incidents in Stephens County. The suspect alleged to have shot the trio of victims at two Stephens County convenience stores remained in the county jail without bond Tuesday afternoon.
