Betty Jo Woods Pineo, 51, of Snyder Valley Lane, Tiger, Ga., died Feb. 15, 2020 at Mountain Lakes Medical Center in Clayton, Ga. She was the widow of Melvin Pineo. Born in Rabun County, Ga. June 26, 1968, she was the daughter of the Rev. Mickey Woods and Vickie Snyder Woods.

James Verlin Keener

James Verlin Keener, 79, of Wolffork Road in Rabun Gap, Ga., died Feb. 11, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Ga. Funeral services were held Feb. 14, 2020 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home, which was in charge of arrangements.

Lydie Frelechoux Gay Boykin, 84, of Ft. Mitchell, Ala., died on Wednesday, Feb. 05, 2020 with her family by her side. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2 p.m. (EST) on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, Ala.

Gordon Lee Brown (73) of Auburndale, Fla. (formerly of Clayton) gained his wings, with his family by his side, on January 30, 2020 after an extended illness. He was born in Plant City, Fla. on Dec. 2, 1946 to Gordon and Beulah Brown.

Charles Wilson Hardy

Charles Wilson Hardy of Statham, Ga. and Clayton, Ga., passed away Feb. 8, 2020. He was born July 29, 1935 to Clarence Hardy and Sara Jane Coggins Hardy and grew up in Austell, Ga. Charles graduated from South Cobb High School in 1954 and served his country as a Specialist, 3Rd Class in the U.S.

Kenneth Wilson Hastings

Kenneth Wilson Hastings, 60, of Lakemont, Ga., died Feb. 4, 2019 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. The body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Carrie Lynn Dillman Addis, age 36, of Lakemont, Ga., passed away on Feb. 5, 2020. The family will hold a service at the Flat Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020 at 2 p.m.   Beck Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mary Alice Watts Anglin, age 77, of Clayton, Georgia, passed away on February 2, 2020. Mary was born the daughter of the late Henry William Watts and Edna Ann Tanner Watts on May 3, 1942. Mary was a Christian and a member of the Baptist Faith. In her professional life she worked as a beautician.

Norman William (Bill) Pettys, Jr.

Norman William Pettys, Jr. (Bill), 78, son of Norman William Pettys and Jenny Lind Mather Pettys, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020 from sudden cardiac arrest. An Atlanta native, he attended Morningside Grammar School and graduated from Grady High School, Class of 1959.

Lloyd Sylvia "Buck" Craig

Lloyd Sylvia "Buck" Craig, age 88, of Clayton. Ga. passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at his home surrounded by family and friends. Buck was born December 4, 1931 in Rabun County and was the son of the late Ina Cleo Holcomb Craig and Virgil Columbus Craig of the Bridge Creek Community.
